EUCCA Organisation
The European Union is one of the biggest donors of development assistance to Afghanistan. Recent official trade figures show the EU as the 3rd largest trading partner of Afghanistan, after the US and Pakistan. EU exports to Afghanistan are increasing: exports actually doubled during the last 5 years – amounting to over € 740 million in 2010 alone. Significant scope for enhancing EU-Afghan trade exists: Afghan market potential and numerous business opportunities have been identified, and the importance of the European private sector in Afghanistan is growing.
The EUCCA was established in October 2011 by private sector promoters, representing EU businesses, EU embassies operating in Afghanistan and EU nationals otherwise working in Afghanistan. The EUCCA has its registered office in Kabul, Afghanistan and its legal status is governed by the Laws of the Republic of Afghanistan as a non-profit organization.
Vision & Mission
The EUCCA aims to be the leading organization supporting European business interest in Afghanistan and facilitating business, investment and trade ties between the EU and Afghanistan.The EUCCA’s purpose and objective is to promote bilateral economic and social relations between the European Opinion (EU) and Afghanistan through:

enable greater association between the EU / Afghan business communities;

represent the economic interests of businesses from the EU in dealing with authorities in the EU and Afghanistan;

Collect and distribute information on the economic situation in the EU and Afghanistan and report on industrial and commercial developments through the office of the CEO.
Management
The EUCCA is governed by the "General Meeting" of members and the "Board of Directors". The Annual General Meeting will be held once a year, at a place to be determined at the time. The BOD consists of the President, two vice-presidents and a representative of the EU Delegation to Afghanistan. The BOD will define strategies to ensure that it serves its purpose, lays down the directives for the Chambers management and looks after the legitimate interest of its members. On a daily basis the EUCCA is managed by the Executive Committee, headed by the CEO.
